Group Home Ministry                                                                                                                                  Members of the congregation conduct weekly Bible studies at group homes serving the elderly. In addition, the choir visits these homes 2-3 times a year to provide music.

Ministry to Schools   As a service to our neighbors, the members of Saint Andrew give generously. School supplies: For the return to school, items such as notebooks, pencils, crayons, and other school supplies are collected for the students at Lakeview Elementary School and Cholla Middle School. These supplies are provided to those children who would otherwise not have the basic tools needed to learn. Food bank: The collection of food, with an emphasis on staple items, is used to stock the food pantries at Lakeview Elementary School and Cholla Middle School. These food items provide the families in the area meals they would otherwise not have. Thanksgiving boxes: Many families in the neighborhood are not able to afford the traditional Thanksgiving meal. The members of Saint Andrew gather the items to provide these families with such a meal. Food is gathered at the church, boxed up and delivered to the families on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Sew and Sews
The Sew and Sews are dedicated to making quilts for those in need. Quilts are also given to our newest brothers and sisters in Christ at their baptism as well as to our young people as they graduate high school. Many of the quilts are donated to West Valley Child Crisis Center to be given to foster children and the families that provide for them. Once a year, a quilt is raffled to fund this service. A giving heart and a willing hand is all that is needed to participate. This group meets every Wednesday morning from 9:00-11:00am.

Grace Heat Respite                                                                                                  During the summer months, the members of Saint Andrew provide water to the Heat Respite program at Grace Lutheran Church to benefit the homeless. The Heat Respite program aspires to reach out to not only the physical needs of all those who come through the doors, but to their fullness as human beings.

Saint Andrew Annual Souper Bowl                                                                       This annual event occurs at the home of Russ and Cindy Guenthner. We gather together to eat, socialize and enjoy the Super Bowl. (Liking football is not a requirement to participate!) Each person who attends (members of the congregation and their guests) are asked to bring one (1) or more non-perishable food item. Many of these items are given to the families of students at Lakeview Elementary School and Cholla Middle School with the rest given to the local food bank.
