This
Core Ministry Team, in association with the Pastor and under the guidance of the
Congregation Council, shall be responsible for insuring that the services of
God’s house are conducted regularly and in accordance with the liturgy of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
This team shall also be responsible for overseeing the choirs; the
recruiting, training and scheduling of ushers, readers, and worship assistants;
arrange for the care of par aments, vestments and musical instruments.
It shall also be responsible for the work and performance of the Altar
Guild, the Music Director and/or Choir directors, coordinating and supervising
their efforts and making reports and recommendations thereon to the Congregation
Council and/or the Personnel Committee. In
carrying out these responsibilities, this team will lead this Congregation in
witnessing to the community and ourselves the Gospel of Christ.

Team Leader - Council Liaison -

Sunday School - Anne Ball
This Core Ministry Team, in association with the Pastor
and under the guidance of the Congregation Council, shall be responsible for
planning and overseeing the implementation and promotion of Spiritual Growth
opportunities. These opportunities
may include Sunday Church School; Vacation Bible School; Confirmation; and
educational events, workshops, and retreats.
This team shall also be responsible for the appointment and oversight of
leaders for these opportunities, e.g., Sunday School Coordinator. This team
shall also encourage the Home – Church connection in all aspects of spiritual
growth and education. In the
promotion and publicity of these opportunities, this team will lead this
Congregation in witnessing to the community and ourselves the Gospel of Christ.
Serving Opportunities:
Sunday School teachers and helpers, Confirmation Guides,
Adult Education or Small Group Leaders,
Vacation Bible School, Special Events for Advent, Christmas
or Lent,
Milestone Ministry, Women's or Men's Retreats, Men's Wisdom
Council, Cursillo
Team Leader - Currently Vacant Council Liaison - Lyle Tolifson
This Core Ministry Team, in
association with the Pastor and under the guidance of the Congregation Council,
shall be responsible for planning and overseeing the implementation of
opportunities to extend Christian compassion and helpfulness to all persons of
all ages in need of aid in body or soul. These
opportunities may include Angel Tree, After-School Care, food donations, and
Sew-n-Sews. In the promotion and publicity of these opportunities, this team
will lead this Congregation in service and outreach to the community and ourselves the
Gospel of Christ.
Serving Opportunities:
Serving Projects include: Desert Mission Food Bank, Christmas
in July for Lakeview and Cholla School supplies,
Thanksgiving and Easter Food Baskets, Angel Tree Ministry,
CROP Walk, Two Cents for World Hunger,
Fair Trade, Alternative Gift Giving and many others.

This
Core Ministry Team, in association with the Pastor and under the guidance of the
Congregation Council, shall be responsible for planning and overseeing the
implementation and promotion of events and programs that will build up
relationships both within this Congregation and in the community. These
opportunities may include Sunday morning fellowship, festival meals and other
“Parish Life” activities; Christ Care; ViCAP, Cursillo, and Prayer Chain.
In the promotion and publicity of these opportunities, this team will
lead this Congregation in witnessing to the community and ourselves the Gospel
of Christ.
Serving Opportunities:
Provide or serve food for Sunday Morning Fellowship and other
Congregational events like Spud Races, Talent Show,
Valentine Dinner, or Rally Day activites.

Team Leader - Marilyn Berry Council Liaison -

This Support Ministry Team shall be responsible for overseeing all the
financial affairs of the congregation. It shall draft budgets and submit them to
the Congregation Council for approval and subsequent submission for adoption at
the fiscal annual meeting. It shall
be responsible for the counting and recording of the offering at all worship
services and other functions of this Congregation. It shall further be responsible for the congregation’s
investments and total insurance program and shall perform other duties as
assigned by the Congregation Council. This team shall also be responsible for
overseeing the work and performance of the Financial Secretary. The team members
shall include, among others, the Treasurer and the Financial Secretary.
Stewardship Team.
This
Support Ministry Team shall promote the expression of Christian faith in daily
living. It shall teach the
Christian use of temporal assets and lead all members of the congregation to
higher levels of proportionate giving for the Lord’s work. It shall encourage and challenge every member to make proper
Christian disposal of time and talents and further be responsible for the other
congregational efforts, which lead to informed and grateful giving of self and
resources.

Stewardship Programs for time, talent and resources,
Financial Record Keeping and Planning, Budget Preparation
Team Leader - Council Liaison - Russ Guenthner
This Support Ministry Team shall be responsible for the overseeing of the
proper maintenance and protection of all property of the congregation. They
shall also be responsible for seeking bids and estimates and making
recommendations to the Congregation Council for necessary ongoing maintenance
and property improvements.
This team shall also be responsible for overseeing the work of all
persons performing the custodial, landscaping, maintenance, or repair work.
Serving Opportunities:
Projects - indoors and out - to both maintain and improve the
property.
Construction, electrical, plumbing help is appreciated.
Team Leader - Currently Vacant Council Liaison - Robin McManus, Pastor Pat
This Support Ministry Team shall be responsible for the overseeing of the youth
of the congregation.
