God Is At Work
As we continue to walk by faith, not by sight and seek God’s direction for St. Andrew it’s good to give thanks for the ways that God is at work in this community.
From simple caring words between friends to the sharing of prayers to the stocking of food pantries at Lakeview and Cholla to thoughtful bible studies, we are spreading God’s love and living out God’s word together. There’s no higher calling for a church.
2012 marks St. Andrew’s 50th Anniversary (we will be celebrating the last weekend in September). Life is not what it once was and neither is this church. That’s the gift.
Through the eyes of faith we can see God at work here at St. Andrew moving us into the future.
God is at work in our growing and enthusiastic youth group shepherded by the Gangemi’s.
God is at work through Michelle Toft and our new Family Ministry. Families with young children are connecting with each other and enjoying the fun and support of Christian community.
God is at work through the council and ministry team leaders who care enough to envision and believe in St. Andrew’s next 50 years.
God is at work through your spirit of generosity.
We still have challenges (see the Resource article on page 3), but the joy of the Lord is our strength.
God is at work through all those who serve and have served at St. Andrew throughout the years. From the choir offerings led by Mary Cornelius, to the hospitality of Parish Life overseen by Dee Scott, to the ongoing care of the altar by Jackie Cunningham and Susan Schmatjen, to the oversight of the property by Russ Guenthner, to the loving Sunday School teachers and Fun-Faith-Friday crew, through those who worship on Sunday morning, God is at work.
Give Thanks!
In Christ, Pastor Pat
